Blue Oyster Mushroom Still Life.
Tintype Photography
A form of photography most popular during the 1860’s through the 1870’s where collodion is poured onto a metal plate, placed in a bath of silver, and then placed into the camera. I began learning this process a little over a year ago and have done a few demonstrations on this historic process. I offer tintype portraits on 4x5 format, made with my nearly 100 year old camera.

With this challenging medium I find the natural imperfections, and artifacts in the images add to part of their character and uniqueness. Each one is a one of a kind and cannot be reproduced.
